Terms of Service

Sursum helps students build ATS-ready resumes, tailor them to jobs and check them against a job description, using templates and AI assistance. Features may change as the product grows.

You must be 18 or older, and give us accurate account information. You are responsible for what happens under your account, so keep your password safe.

Your resumes and other content stay yours. You allow us to store, process and display them, and to send the relevant parts to AI providers, only as needed to run the features you use (see the Privacy Policy).

You promise that what you upload is yours to use and is truthful. Don't put false claims on a resume you send to an employer.

AI suggestions can be wrong, out of date or not right for you. Read everything before you use it. We don't promise that a resume will pass any employer's screening software, get interviews, or lead to a job or internship.

Sursum Career is a paid pass. At launch it costs ₹85 and gives 30 days of Career features from the moment your payment is confirmed. To tell one payment from another, each checkout adds a few paise (up to ₹0.49) to the price, shown on the payment screen before you pay; that is part of the price. It does not renew by itself: when the 30 days end your account returns to the free plan and nothing more is charged. Paying again before it ends adds another 30 days to the end of your current period.

You pay by UPI: scan the QR or open your UPI app from the payment screen, pay the exact amount shown, and enter the 12-digit bank reference (UTR) from your payment. We confirm the payment against our bank account, and Career switches on as soon as we do. We email you when it is confirmed. Prices may change; a change applies to future payments, not ones you've already made. Prices include applicable taxes unless we say otherwise.

Don't misuse the service: no attempts to break, overload or get around its limits (including the daily AI allowance), no scraping, no reselling access, no sharing your account, and no use that is unlawful or harms others. We may limit, suspend or close accounts that do, and we'll tell you why when we can.

Free and Career accounts include a daily allowance of AI requests that use our AI service. If you add your own API key, requests made with it aren't counted against that allowance, and you are responsible for charges from your provider.

We work to keep Sursum available and your data safe, but we provide it as is, and we can't promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. Keep your own copy of resumes that matter (you can export your data from Profile).

To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim about the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect losses such as a missed opportunity. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't legally be limited.

You can delete your account any time in Profile → Delete account. Deleting it does not by itself entitle you to a refund (see the Refund Policy).

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka have jurisdiction, subject to any rights you have as a consumer under law.
